Mice lose fear of Cats

New research has revealed more knowledge on the Toxoplasma infection. Toxoplasma is spread by parasites through rodents and domestic cats. It can cause blindness, abortion or death for a fetus. Persons with a low immune system are also in danger. Mice have somewhat different effects. Infected mice become fearless of cats. Even after the parasite is out of their system for four months, the mice will remain unafraid. When the parasite is in a rodent, it can physically change particular parts of the brain to alter the rodent’s behavior, then eaten by a cat, and the cycle of the disease continues.
